Beta Version 2.0

Hello, my name is Sage.  I hobby with blacksmithing, welding and other metal arts in my spare time while not busy at work.
I started doing this because one of my major influences in sideshow was Rasmus Nielsen, who was also a blacksmith in the 1930's.
I like fabricating household stuff (pot racks, shelves, wine racks), bladesmithing, and most lately, the world's first hand forged body jewelry.

What the rack looks like on an average dayMy dual burner micro-forge with adjustable sliding door.
My trusty Wilkinson anvil. Hardies and hammers strewn aboutGrinder, vibratory polisher and bandsaw can be seen here.

Here is my workshop in my cellar.  You can see pretty much everything that I use to hobby my work.  My home made dual burner micro forge may seem small, but I get nice heats up to 1/2" stock!  It forge welds great and is real efficient.  Most people say my anvil is set too high, but I forge small work and like to be closer to what I'm doing.

Planthangers for the sunroom.
Potracks and plantracks were some of my first pieces to make.  Simple yet practical

This is a piercing jewelry barbell...oversized and used as a drawer pullMore custom hardware... all the shops are covered with them.

This is some stuff I've made for the piercing shops.  The address sign is made from scrap and steel shoe horns.  Wire frame glove box bracket is made from a single length of rod.  The cabinetry hardware explains itself.

Here is my "Metal Menagerie".  These are all designed conceptually, then made on the spot.  The animals are all made from scrap materials and are quite whimsical.

Six foot nine inch tall robot sculptureClose up of the headChest close up, yes it's an oil panThe legs and feet

This is my robotic sculpture I made for 2006 Halloween.  It is made from 90% recylced auto parts.  The head is made from a chopped torque converter, brake pads and valve parts.  The upper torso from a water pump, shock absorbers and an oil pan.  Legs and hips came from a larger water pump, struts and more brake pads and shoes.

Mt very first forging, an ebony handled skinner.Small tanto blade I made for my dadHand polished to a mirror finish!

These are my first forged knives.  They are made of cold rolled mild steel, so they really were more for decoration and practice for me.

Well, that's it for now.  I'm always making more stuff.... everyday!  When I get time to update I will.
Thanks for looking!
